Starting in 2021, Illinois initiated a legal requirement that ALL state employers train their employees ANNUALLY on sexual harassment in the workplace. The state issued regulations outlining the requirements for the training, including fines for employers who fail to provide this training every year. With severe legal and financial consequences for employers whose employees claim to have been the victim of sexual harassment at work, no employer is exempt from this pressing issue. Even small employers with only one employee must comply!
