    Community Manager 


    Job Description:  This position has overall responsibility for Sales/Member Acquisition, Member Satisfaction, Marketing, Operations, Meeting & Event Coordination, Financial Management, Facilities Management and overall profitability and success of the specific LifeWorking facility. 


    Reporting Structure:  Reports to President/CEO of LifeWorking 


    Qualifications:  We are seeking a team player with an entrepreneurial mindset for our New-Way-To-Workplace startup.  Specifically: 

    The candidate will be approachable, professional, curious – a creative problem-solver, self-starter and able to work independently.  Hospitality-focused with a passion for delighting customers and anticipating needs. Strong communications skills, written and spoken are critical along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.  The candidate must have a BA or BS degree, preferably in business, hospitality or real estate.  Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related field. Proven track record of exceeding sales goals. Expertise with basic business technologies/PC applications. 

    Key Metrics:   Community Manager is initially measured on Member Acquisition, evolving to include profitability and Member Retention starting in Q2 2018. 




    General:Primary contact for sales inquiries and outbound marketing efforts 

    Manages all Member interaction and requests 

    • Client Services 

    • Meeting bookings (electronically managed) 

    • Member move-in/move out 

    Property Management and primary contact with all vendors 






    Marketing:       Acts as the face of LifeWorking Coworking in the community, developing and maintaining relationships with all possible referral sources including Chambers of Commerce, commercial real estate brokers, networking groups and neighbor outreach.   

    Maintains online presence and advertising with sources such as Yelp and Google.   

    Communicates frequently with online office brokers and networks (e.g. LiquidSpaceDeskPassPreferred Office Network and Instant Offices), updating online information as needed.  

    Works with Digital Marketing manager to ensure effective hyper-local engagement and local community/member events, news, etc. 

    Performs direct community marketing (e.g. placement of tent cards and tear-off posters) as directed.  

    Recommends, develops and implements methods for reaching relevant target markets with corporate approval. 


    Member Acquisition:  Conducts tours for prospective members and other interested parties as primary sales contact 

    Meeting/Events:  Conducts tours, provides quotes, manages Event calendar and coordinates with on-site team to manage all Meetings and Events and the associated catering required 

    Works in conjunction with all personnel to achieve maximum and profitable occupancy level at facility 

    Tracks existing Members’ occupancy expiration dates and initiates timely discussion of renewals/future plans  


    Operations: Ensures the company “branded” experience is created throughout facility. 

    Approves, in advance, any interruptions in technology services at facility. 

    Oversees move-in, move-out activities in conjunction with appropriate staff. 

    Provides guidance to all site personnel to ensure excellent service delivery to LifeWorking Members and to ensure site profitability. 

    Maintains primary relationship/communications with Building Management or Landlord. 

    Maintains excellent relationships with Members in facility, potential Members, vendors and local community. 

    Participates in on site events to promote LifeWorking and good community relations. 

    Provides and/or reviews reports going to corporate office. 




    Financial:Reviews and approves all accounts payable requests. 

    Maintains primary contact with corporate regarding all policies/procedures and reports.  

    Reviews and approves Member billing prior to Member invoicing. 

    Processes Receivables through appropriate systems  checks and credit cards. 



    H R:Participates in interviewing facility staff with assistance and input from appropriate personnel, i.e. technical support, financial and administrative staffs. 

    Manages on-site staff 

    Participates in appropriate training of facility staff. 

    Provides as much notice as possible for time off requests for personal, sick and vacation time. Monitors day-to-day staff attendance time off requests.
