The Village of Deerfield Public Works & Engineering Department is seeking to fill one seasonal summer Engineering Intern position mid-May through mid-August. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. Under the direction of the Engineering Project Manager, or designee, the seasonal staff are responsible to perform a variety of general duties including plan review, sidewalk inspections, mapping Village assets and working with hired contractors on capital projects.
This is a seasonal, non-exempt position with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Requirements are a minimum age of 18 and enrollment in an engineering bachelor degree program. Must also possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and provide own steel toe safety boots.
