Friday Nov 7, 2025 Tuesday Nov 11, 2025
From November 7 to November 11, 2025.
From November 7 to November 11, 2025, the Village of Deerfield invites residents to visit Jewett Park for the inspiring Field of Honor display, featuring 500 United States flags. This moving tribute honors the sacrifices of veterans and active-duty service members, providing a powerful reminder of their bravery and commitment. The Field of Honor event, part of a national initiative, is organized by the Village of Deerfield, the Deerfield Police Department, Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District, Deerfield Public Library, Deerfield Park District, and Deerfield American Legion Post 738. Each flag in the display represents a unique individual, offering the opportunity for residents to sponsor a flag in honor of a veteran, active-duty military member, or personal hero. Generous sponsors, donors, and volunteers make this tribute possible. Proceeds from the event will benefit Midwest Veterans Closet and Lake County Honor Flight, two organizations dedicated to supporting and uplifting those who have served our country. To sponsor a flag, become a corporate sponsor, or learn more about the event, please visit the event website.
The event is free to visit, but there is a fee to sponsor a flag. The cost to sponsor a flag in honor of a veteran, active-duty military member, or personal hero will help support the Midwest Veterans Closet and Lake County Honor Flight. For exact fees, please visit the event website for more details.
