Tariff classification and valuation of imported or exported goods must be done correctly in order to achieve successful international trade transactions and avoid severe penalties or additional duties. During this workshop you will learn how to determine if goods are subject to quotas and how to apply for and use U.S. Customs classification rulings. You will understand the differences between HTSUS and Schedule B, the structure of the HTSUS, and tariff classification of products for imports and exports. The workshop also reviews the General Rules of Interpretation (GRI) and gives you the tools you need to classify your imported and exported goods properly.
